AH, Brooklyn.
I finally got my 360, Mat bought it for me and he now owns my PS3. Everybody wins! I needed a game which meant I had to locate a copy of Dead Rising so it was off to Coquitlam Centre for Duncan and I. We went to EB and I snagged a copy of the game, while I paid for it Duncan was chatting up the cashier, utilizing his charms. During this process a couple of douchebag guys came in jokingly saying, "Oh look, Pokemon! I gotta get that." they then noticed copies of the new Transformers game and expressed GENUINE INTEREST in it. I knew at this moment we were dealing with a completely retarded breed of gamer.

Short story shorter, the cashier mentioned in passing that they would be accepting resumes soon to these douchebag guys, which gave the impression that they had tried to apply before. Wouldn't you know it, Duncan had a large cache of resumes in his backpack at that very moment and so he whipped one out promptly and the cashier seemed caught off-guard but clearly impressed.

SUMMARY: Duncan applied at EB and has a good chance of getting an interview because the cashier wants to get into his pants.

So he bought you a 360 for your birthday, and got a PS3 $150-200 cheaper? Hell for how much he's saving on his PS3 he should have picked you up a wireless adapter instead of writing a paragraph of how the new system he just bought you is such a mess.

I also dig how theres no mention of him getting a PS3 out of his generous purchase on his blog, even though you blew a whole cheque on it...meh, suppose it ain't worth mentioning when we already have one story of a person being saintly lol.

Wait...so Mat gets to keep the PS3 AND pay $300 for a 360? Geez, how could I not see through that ploy. It all makes sense now.

I'm just saying he's making himself look quite good purchasing you a 360 because of a missed birthday, but completely forgets to mention that you're giving him a $500 system for...nothing.

I can see him forgetting to mention when you do something nice like that, I mean it would make his kind act look quite insignificant. Let's face it, Mat wants to keep himself looking good, why else would he get so chapped when people mention... unmentionables on his blog?

So yeah, don't think he was tricking you or anything like that. Just buying something and bragging about how much of a noble gent he is, all the while passing up on the chance to mention that you have done something just as nice, just a little more expensive.
